A portion of Regina’s Ring Road closed Tuesday night after a fatal collision.
A semi and a car were involved in the crash around 7:30 p.m. in the stretch between Wascana Parkway and Albert Street. By the time emergency crews arrived, they found the 17-year-old girl in the car had died.
A 44-year-old man was driving the semi; neither he nor his passenger were hurt.
The Regina Police Service says the car was driving southbound when it crossed the ditch and drove into the path of the northbound semi.
Police say alcohol, speed and road conditions are not considered factors in the crash.
Both lanes had reopened by 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
