The Regina Police Service has laid charges after the RBC on Rochdale Boulevard was robbed at gunpoint last month.
Police were called to the bank at 9:47 a.m. on Nov. 17 for a robbery in progress. At the time, police were told that a man wearing a mask and carrying a shotgun had walked into the bank and demanded cash.
There were about 20 people inside the bank at the time but no one was hurt.
The suspect made off with cash in a black duffel bag.
On Friday, police announced that charges have been laid in the robbery. Evan James Blight, 26, of Regina is charged with robbery with a weapon, disguise with intent to commit indictable offence, breaching his probation, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm, and tampering with a serial number.
Blight made his first court appearance Friday morning.
