For the second time in a week, Regina police have laid charges against someone found sleeping in a vehicle with a gun and drugs.
The Regina Police Service was called to McDonald Street and Ring Road at 12:41 p.m. Tuesday after someone had spotted a man passed out in a vehicle.
By the time officers arrived, the man “appeared to be unconscious”. Police also found a firearm, stolen property and drugs. The man was arrested.
Police say some of the stolen property was linked to a break and enter on the 1100 block of Edgar Street Monday night.
Christopher McDougal, 31, faces 16 charges including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of stolen property.
Police had recently laid charges against another man who was found sleeping in a car with drugs and guns.
