RCMP warn northern Saskatchewan business to be on the lookout for a suspicious woman trying to buy expensive items with a stolen credit card.
This week, Spiritwood RCMP received complaints from local businesses about a woman trying to buy big-ticket items including gift cards with a Visa that had been tampered with.
Businesses told police the magnetic strip and chip on the card would not work, but if the credit card number was entered manually it works.
The woman is described as Caucasian, five-feet seven-inches tall with a slender build with pink hair. Mounties say the woman is about 19 years old.
The suspect was last seen driving a 2013 four-door white Dodge Ram white with an Alberta licence plate BST 9306. The vehicle has black rims, oversized tires, is lifted, has tinted windows and blacked out tail lights.
Investigation shows that this female is a suspect in fraudulent activity in stores in southern Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, and several places in Alberta.
Anyone with information on this is asked to contact Spiritwood RCMP at (306(883-4210 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
