New Saskatoon daycare centre to break ground next year

Construction of a new child care centre for at-risk single mothers will start in the new year.
 
The 22 spots in the Sweet Dreams project will be open to families using the EGADZ  residential program in Saskatoon.
 
“Every mom deserves the opportunity to create a better future for her children,” Education Minister Don Morgan said. “Soon the moms at Sweet Dreams will have a safe and caring environment for their children while they focus on building workplace skills or furthering their education. It’s an incredible step forward to support these families.”
 
The Government of Saskatchewan invested $355,000 in the project, the Government of Canada provided $207,000 through its Homelessness Partnering Strategy and $19,000 came from the City of Saskatoon.
