Eskimos fans rant on talk radio about Riders poaching coaches

Some Edmonton Eskimos fans seem to have a case of sour grapes with the Roughriders.

They haven’t been too happy since their Grey Cup winning coach and most of his assistants were poached to Saskatchewan.

Callers to sports shows on News Talk CHED radio have been venting their frustration with the green and white.

“I mean jeeze, like keep your paws off Roughriders, go find your own guys,” said one man.

Another caller described the coaching switch as ‘classless’.

“These sneaky combine pilots down in Saskatchewan, you know, if it’s not a billboard in front of Commonwealth, they’re trying to steal our coach,” one man vented.

 “It’s just ticking me off, these sultans of swath, they just get whatever they want. It’ll just make the victory next year all that more enjoyable.”

Another man argued that there should be compensation and the CFL should impose fines on the Riders for tampering.

On Wednesday the CFL imposed a moratorium on coaches switching teams.
