Christmas in southern Saskatchewan will indeed by white for 2015, but CJME weather specialist John Wilson says it shouldn’t be extremely cold.
On Wednesday, Wilson told the CJME Morning Show that people traveling in southern Saskatchewan shouldn’t run into any problems.
“The snow we have (Wednesday) morning is just the very, very rear end of something that’s snowing a little harder for Winnipeg on eastward, and that will be out of here, too.”
The temperature should be around normal for this time of year, with Wilson forecasting a high of -8 C on Christmas Eve, and highs of -14 C for Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Once Christmas is done, Regina and area may see some active weather with periodic spouts of light snow. However, Wilson said the temperature should stay around an average of -9 C.
