The premier says selling marijuana in Saskatchewan liquor stores isn’t something the province is considering right now, despite the federal government’s pledge to legalize pot.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Brad Wall said the focus should be on assessing the impact in Colorado since the state legalized marijuana, where he says the move has brought both opportunities and challenges.
Wall says he’s concerned that the technology for roadside enforcement of impaired driving laws is not readily available for similar use with marijuana.
Both Manitoba and Ontario have said they’re considering selling marijuana in government-owned liquor stores when it is legalized.
