Sask. welfare cheques back on schedule

Welfare cheques should now be in the hands of those who need it.

Last week, the Ministry of Social Services announced 800 mid-month welfare cheques were late by two or three days because of a delay at the printer.

All cheques were mailed at the end of last week.

End-of-the-month cheques were sent to Canada Post Thursday, so the system is now caught up and back to normal schedule.
