Saskatoon police say a cab driver helped them arrest a 23-year-old attempted murder suspect on Monday morning.
A patrol officer went to a home in the 200 block of Avenue O South shortly after midnight. In a media release, police said he saw that there was someone hurt inside the home.
The officer found a 59-year-old man suffering from life-threatening head injuries. The man was taken to hospital by MD Ambulance.
While this was going on, police said other patrol officers in the downtown area were flagged down by a taxi driver. The driver told police he was suspicious of his passenger.
After briefly questioning the passenger, police took the man into custody.
He’s expected to make his first appearance on an attempted murder charge Monday evening.
