Suspects in attempted robbery in Saltcoats believed to be armed and dangerous

Yorkton Rural RCMP say two men are believed to be armed and dangerous after they allegedly tried to rob the Saltcoats Credit Union on Thursday afternoon.

Saltcoats is 31 kilometres southeast of Yorkton on Highway 16.

RCMP received a call of an attempted armed robbery at 1:57 p.m. The investigation indicates the two men entered the bank with a gun. The suspects got away on foot in an unknown direction. No employees were injured during the incident.

The suspects are described as 5’5″ to 5’9″. One was wearing a light grey hoodie under a dark grey hoodie along with a black balaclava with snowflakes, blue jeans and white running shoes.

The other suspect was wearing a black zip up hoodie with red writing and white strings, a black balaclava, light blue jeans and black shoes.

RCMP continue to investigate.
