The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added some serious size to their defensive line.
The club announced on Friday they’ve signed defensive lineman Caesar Rayford. Terms of the deal were not released.
Rayford joins the Riders after attending the Minnesota Vikings training camp in 2015 playing in all four pre-season games.
In all, the 6-7, 270-pounder has been in professional football for nine seasons after graduating from the University of Washington in 2007.
Rayford comes to Saskatchewan with some CFL experience as he spent time with the B.C. Lions in 2009. He was also with the Calgary Stampeders and Montreal Alouettes in 2014. Rayford played two games for Montreal that year picking up one tackle.
The 29-year-old has also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, the Indianapolis Colts and in the Arena Football League.
