A small fire in the basement sparked a short evacuation at Hotel Saskatchewan on Monday.
Regina Fire and Protective Services received a call about the fire at 2:28 p.m.
No one was hurt and the fire was put out quickly. The blaze was contained within a carpenter’s workshop in the basement of the hotel.
Staff and guests were evacuated as a precaution but were allowed back inside the building within half an hour.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
