RCMP have laid charges against a teen after an armed robbery in Yorkton in December.
Mounties say two suspects walked into the Mac’s convenience store in the early-morning hours of Dec. 17. Their faces were covered and they had a knife. The pair made off with cash, cigarettes and food.
On Tuesday, RCMP announced that a 16-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in the case. The teen is facing charges of robbery with a weapon, wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failing to comply with a youth sentence.
Mounties are still looking for a second suspect in the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
The store is the location where Jimmy Wiebe was killed while working in June 2011.
