A man in serious condition continues to recover in hospital after his car collided with a Saskatoon transit bus Friday.
At around 7:40 a.m., police responded to a collision on Clarence Avenue and Isabella Street.
A city statement said the bus was traveling northbound on Clarence Avenue when it collided with the man’s car. The driver-side door was caved in from the crash, and the man was taken to Royal University Hospital with serious injuries. There were no injuries to passengers on the city bus.
Police have closed a couple of blocks on Clarence Avenue as they continue to figure out how exactly the crash happened. While the # 17 Market Mall-Stonebridge-City Centre continues to run, pick-ups and drop-offs are not available at four stops between Hilliard and Taylor Streets because of the crash investigation.
A police spokesperson said traffic restrictions should be in place at least until noon.
