A 22-year-old man is dead after being hit by a car just north of Yorkton Saturday.
RCMP said it happened on Highway 9 just before 8 a.m less than a kilometre north of Yorkton.
The car was traveling northbound when it struck the man from the Keeseekoose First Nation. The female driver and male passenger immediately stopped, called emergency crews and tried to help him.
The victim was taken to the Yorkton Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name is not being released.
RCMP said the man was wearing dark clothing and the driver did not immediately see him.
No charges have been laid. The crash is being investigated by Yorkton RCMP and a RCMP collision reconstructionist.
