Reports of pouring rain and heavy snow caused treacherous driving conditions on highways across the province on Saturday.
Yorkton RCMP dealt with a serious crash north of the city on Highway 9.
A driver who texted in to News Talk Radio shortly after 9 a.m. said there was pouring rain in the Stoughton area, southeast of Regina, creating lots of slush on the roads.
An earlier text from a different driver reported icy sections of highway near Chamberlain, due to freezing rain.
Farther north, most highways leading to Prince Albert were covered with heavy snow and drivers report low visibility, with travel slowed to 50 km/h.
Drivers are advised to check the Highway Hotline before hitting the roads.
