John Chick and Weston Dressler may have new uniforms for 2016, but Canadian receiver Rob Bagg will continue to wear green and white.
The Roughriders and the veteran agreed to a three-year contract extension on Thursday.
Bagg is coming off back-to-back personal best seasons as he was a West Division All-Star in 2014 and followed that up with a career-high seven touchdowns in 2015.
This will be Bagg’s ninth season with the Riders after making the team in 2008 as an un-drafted free agent.
Bagg was plagued with knee injures over the course of three seasons, but the Riders stayed loyal to the hard-working Queen’s product and it has paid off after three-straight solid seasons.
“(Rob) was an important guy for us to retain within our receiving core and in our locker room,” says general manager and head coach Chris Jones in a statement from the team.
“Canadian starters and depth are always important in our league, but what is most important are players that bring a willingness to work and sacrifice to win. Bagg has been a leader in all that he does.”
Bagg was due to hit free agency on Feb. 9.
