The provincial government says 12 new family doctors are practicing in province thanks to the Saskatchewan International Physician Practice Assessment (SIPPA) program.
The program was created in 2011 to help recruit and retain new doctors. Since the program was created, 185 family doctors have completed the assessment and are currently working in Saskatchewan.
Some of the communities the doctors are practicing in include: Saskatoon, Indian Head, Broadview, Wadena, Weyburn, Canora, Esterhazy, and Preeceville.
