Council retroactively slashed $1.33 million in rent owed by the Roughriders.
It’s going to be a rollercoaster ride in southern Saskatchewan for the next few weeks when it comes to weather.
CJME’s weather specialist, John Wilson, says a battle is going on between warmer pacific air, and colder arctic air.
“Right now it’s pacific air in control and a very mild wedge of air coming. It comes with a price though, and that’s a brisk wind and mild temperatures. And then colder air comes late next week for a few days, and then it’s back to mildish or certainly above normal.”
Wilson said it will get cold again at the end of the month, and we could get the coldest temperatures of the season so far.
A wind warning was issued Saturday morning for most of southern Saskatchewan. The warnings called for gusts getting to 90 kilometres per hour in the afternoon and evening. The wind is expected to bring flurries and blowing snow behind it Saturday night.
