'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
Steve Laycock and his rink swept away the competition at the Saskatchewan Tankard.
The rink out of Saskatoon didn’t lose a game on their way to their third straight provincial curling championship.
Laycock, Kirk Muyers (third), Colton Flasch (second), and Dallan Muyers (lead) put the finishing touches on their perfect week in Kindersley with a 6-4 win over Shaun Meachem’s rink, also from the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon.
The team is hoping to build off their bronze medal finish at the 2015 Brier. As skip, Laycock was 6-5 at the Brier in 2014 and was a win better last year.
This will be Laycock’s sixth Brier appearance and the third with this team.
