RCMP have laid charges after an attempted robbery in a small town in eastern Saskatchewan last month.
On Jan. 7, Mounties released information to the public saying two men were believed to be armed and dangerous following the attempted robbery at the Saltcoats credit union. Surveillance photos showed two men with their faces covered. RCMP said the men had a gun and ran away on foot before getting any cash.
On Thursday, the Yorkton RCMP announced charges have been laid against two men and two youth.
Brayden McDermott and Colby Stachura have been charged with armed robbery as an accessory. The youth can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. RCMP say one faces charges of armed robbery, disguise with intent, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. A warrant is out for the arrest of the second youth.
