The Saskatchewan Roughriders continue to hack and slash and rebuild their roster.
The latest victims from Chris Jones’ reworking of the roster are local product Keenan MacDougall, offensive lineman Jermarcus Hardrick and defensive back Nick Taylor.
MacDougall, who starred at the University of Saskatchewan, was excited to join his provincial team before the 2015 season. He suffered a setback in the first game with a shoulder injury, leaving him out of the lineup until the back half of the season.
The safety was joined on the chopping block by Hardrick, who played a handful of games for the Riders in 2015, and Taylor, who was just added to the roster this off-season.
The Riders did have good news for defensive lineman Markus White. He was re-signed to a contract. White has played in 10 games over his two previous seasons in Saskatchewan.
