Syrian refugees who recently arrived in Prince Albert received a warm welcome to their new home on Monday.
St. Albans Cathedral Hall was packed with refugees and supporters as indigenous groups, Elders, settlement service providers and multicultural organizations explained the history of Canadian indigenous groups.
The event was kicked off with a grand entry, followed by speakers and ended with a round dance.
Similar events are being held in Saskatoon on Feb. 24, Regina on Feb. 26 and Moose Jaw on Feb. 29.
