Two teens are facing serious charges after an alleged incident on Valentine’s Day.
RCMP haven’t released many details as to what happened. They say a complaint was made around 3 p.m. on Feb. 14 in Maidstone, east of Lloydminster. According to RCMP, the victims are two young boys “aged 13 or under”.
The RCMP have now charged two teenagers from Maidstone in the case.
A 13-year-old is charged with two counts each of unlawful confinement, assault with a weapon, using a firearm in the commission of an offence and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
A 16-year-old faces the same charges in addition to two counts each of uttering threats and pointing a firearm.
Their next court appearance is scheduled for April 26 in Lloydminster.
The teens cannot be named under the Youth Protection Act. Both have been released from custody on conditions.
