Residents living in a west-side apartment complex in Saskatoon received an early wake-up call Tuesday.
Saskatoon fire crews were called at 1:40 a.m. after reports of smoke coming from a second story balcony at 1310 20th Street West.
By the time firefighters arrived on scene everyone inside the building had evacuated and a sprinkler head put out most of the fire in a mattress.
There were no injuries reported.
The cause is undetermined at this point. Damage estimate is approximately $50,000.
Residents are now back in the building.
