The Huskies women’s basketball team earned its fourth Canada West title with a 73-62 win over the Regina Cougars at the PAC Saturday night.
The Huskies led 61-39 after three quarters. Regina pushed back going on a 20-4 fourth quarter run to narrow the gap, but Desarae Hogberg sealed the win with a three ball with 1:31 remaining.
Both Saskatchewan teams advance to the CIS women’s championship at the University of New Brunswick this weekend.
The Huskies are the second seed, and will face Ottawa in their first game at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
