Saskatoon police investigating Preston Avenue death as 1st murder of 2016

A suspicious death on Preston Avenue has become the city’s first murder of 2016.

Police were called to the duplex just after 1 a.m. Friday. An injured 29-year-old man found inside was rushed to hospital where he later died. An autopsy on the body is scheduled for today.

A 36-year-old woman who also lived in the home was arrested and questioned by police. She has been released pending further investigation.

The name of the victim will not be released at the request of the family.
