A 23-year-old man is facing charges after three men were attacked with bear spray in downtown Regina Tuesday night.
Police were called to Scarth Street – between 11th and 12th Avenues – just before 9:30 p.m. Officers found a 34-year-old man who had been sprayed with bear spray. The 34-year-old told police a man came up to him and told him to hand over his wallet and money. When the 34-year-old refused, he was sprayed.
A 54-year-old man walking in the same area was attacked next; he too was told to hand over his wallet and refused.
Police say a 24-year-old man was also sprayed two blocks away on Lorne Street.
Officers tracked down the suspect on Lorne Street.
Zachariah Goforth, 23, is charged with possession of marijuana, breach of undertaking, possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, assault with a weapon, robbery with violence and attempted robbery.
Police say the first two victims were treated on scene by paramedics. The third victim wasn’t hurt.
