On Saturday morning, a house fire in Regina’s North Central neighborhood turned fatal.
According to Regina Fire and Protective Services, the call about the fire came in around 12:30 a.m. to the house at 1340 Montague St.
According to Regina police, one woman died in the blaze – her name is not being released. Fire marshal Randy Ryba said “a number of” pets were killed as well.
Ryba said the fire was contained to the main floor of the home, and is not considered suspicious.
