A bus driver in Moose Jaw had a short start to the day Wednesday after a sink hole caused a delay.
Crews in the city were called to fix a water main break on the 300 block of Fairford Street West around 5:30 a.m. They were blocking off the road, but a city bus had already found its way through and hit a sink hole.
One of the wheels got stuck in the sink hole, falling enough for the frame of the vehicle to hit the street.
“No one was on the bus and no one was hurt.” said Mark Sture with Moose Jaw’s transit department, explaining that the bus was on its way downtown to start the morning run.
“The bus was delayed but beyond a short delay in bus service, there was no other impact on service.”
The bus was stuck in the road until about 9 a.m. Sture says they need to see what damage was done.
