McNally Enterprises has launched a lawsuit against the Saskatchewan government.
The business believes the land it sold to the Global Transportation Hub (GTH) was undervalued and it lost out financially.
Land sales by the GTH have been criticized recently after a deal made in one day netted one business man millions of dollars. The price was significantly above what land nearby was sold for.
But Brad Wall contends the land appraisal referenced in the lawsuit is a few years old.
“The transaction was some years before, I think three years before we are talking about now and that might affect price,” Wall said. “It is not quite the same parcel, but again respect the fact there is a lawsuit going on.”
But with an election underway, the NDP’s Cam Broten is quick to say this is another example of “a stinky land deal”.
“There is inconsistencies with what they have been saying, his justifications do not hold water.”
The provincial auditor is looking into recent land transactions by the GTH.
