Saskatoon police have not ruled out foul play after two men with gang associations went missing last Sunday.
Barry Heimbecker, 32, and Neilson Kakum, 21, were last seen together on March 20 around 7 a.m at a home in the Fairhaven neighbourhood and a girlfriend of one of the two said she last spoke to them around 9:30 a.m. that same day. She said they were walking in a field heading north towards Highway 7 near Vanscoy and trying to get a ride.
It’s believed they were in a late model Chrysler 300 four door silver in color at the time of their disappearance.
Both the men are associated with street gang activity and it is not normal for them to have no contact with friends and family.
Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Unit along with the Missing Person Task Force are investigating.
Police want Swanson and Delisle area landowners to check their farmland and buildings for anything suspicious.
Anyone with information regarding this incident, or any criminal activity, is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
