The Progressive Conservatives (PCs) hope voters will consider them an alternative this election.
The party is running 18 candidates, mostly in rural areas, but leader Rick Swenson argues another voice is needed in the legislature.
“Our government is only as good as the opposition across from it.”
Swenson maintains the PCs are offering common-sense, economically-sound ideas for the province.
The platform includes farmland ownership, money for local rec. centres, and eradicating the health regions.
“People are tired of there being no accountability with their health dollars and no accountability from what have become fourteen large bureaucratic organizations.”
Swenson believes the Saskatchewan Party has neglected voters and the NDP isn’t offering ideas that will change the status quo.
“I’ve got ten numbered highways in Last Mountain Touchwood that are full of holes, people don’t like the choices being made,” Swenson insists. “You wouldn’t have highways full of holes if you had someone standing up and asking why.”
