The Red Wings will host the Kindersley Klippers in Assiniboia on Friday.
A broken underground pipe is believed to be the cause of a leak out at Regina’s wastewater treatment plant last Friday.
The company that’s building the new plant — EPCOR — said on Wednesday that 75,000 litres of biologically stabilized and treated solids known as biosolids leaked out. While most of that was contained thanks in part to a berm built on site, roughly 10,000 litres seeped into Wascana Creek.
The incident was immediately reported to the Water Security Agency (WSA) and the Ministry of Environment, according to EPCOR. Cleanup at the site was finished on the same day of the leak.
The biosolids are said to pose no risk to the public or environment. User groups downstream are being contacted as well.
