More adult players are now investing in the protective equipment.
Motorcycle riders in Saskatchewan now have another option when it comes to injury coverage.
As of April 1, a third insurance package is available to owners called ‘reduced no fault’. Essentially, riders will receive fewer benefits at a lower cost.
This coverage goes along with the full no fault package and the tort coverage option.
Originally announced by SGI in May 2015, the reduced no-fault coverage will see reduced benefits for riders involved in single vehicle crashes or crashes in which they are found to be more than 50 per cent at fault.
In cases where the other driver is responsible, the motorcycle owner would receive full no fault benefits.
More details on the new insurance coverage can be found online.
