An alleged break-in early Saturday morning led to a man being tased by police.
The Regina Police Service said they were called around 3:45 a.m. to a home on the 500 block of St. John Street, south of 1st Avenue N. It was for a ‘domestic related” break and enter.
When officers got to the scene they say a 35-year-old man confronted and then charged at them, so an officer shot him with a conducted energy weapon, also known as a taser. The man was then taken to hospital and assessed, as per police policy.
The 35-year-old man is charged with break and enter with intent, he’ll be in court on these charges in June.
