Regina police have charged a 37-year-old man after allegedly hitting a teenager with his vehicle at a crosswalk.
The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Argyle Street and Woodward Avenue by Archbishop M.C. O’Neill High School in Coronation Park.
The 16-year-old girl was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver is charged under the Traffic Safety Act for fail to yield right of way to pedestrian at intersection/ marked crosswalk.
Police are reminding drivers to be extra careful in school zones. In Regina, school zones are in effect from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
