Saskatoon duplex fire deemed suspicious

A fire caused extensive damage to a duplex unit in Saskatoon’s Eastview neighbourhood on Wednesday afternoon.

Crews had the blaze at 1940 Easthill under control by 3:15 p.m.

At that time, investigators were expected to begin work at the scene.

Officials on scene said the fire appeared suspicious.

The home was occupied at the time of the fire, but no injuries were reported.
