A spring cleanup is underway to get Saskatoon shining before summer.
Schools, community groups and individuals are taking part in a month-long effort to clear garbage from the river valley, city parks and neighbourhoods.
The Meewasin and AffinityCredit Union cleanup campaign will officially kick off at St. Edward School Friday morning, which coincides with Earth Day.
After that, students will get to work cleaning up the school grounds.
The cleanup runs until May 15.
Individuals, families and community groups can sign up to volunteer online at meewasin.com or by calling Meewasin at 306-665-6888.
Additionally, volunteers can register to clean specific areas of the valley or have one suggested to them.
Meewasin provides garbage bags to all involved in the cleanup.
