Celebrations for the 46th annual Earth Day will be held at the Saskatoon Farmers’ Market on Saturday.
The School of Environment and Sustainability (SENS) at the University of Saskatchewan is hosting the event, which runs from 10-2 p.m.
The day will feature a number of interactive activities, including a planting booth to grow homegrown herbs and a pedal-powered bike blender that will make free smoothies.
Speakers, including SENS researchers and Mark Bigland-Pritchard with the Green Energy Project, will be using a public address system powered by solar panels.
