Regina police investigating 3 Sunday morning robberies

Regina police officers are investigating three robberies that took place in the Queen City Sunday morning.

Police were first called at 4:55 a.m. after a man had gone into a business on the 4600 block of Albert Street with a weapon. Police haven’t said what the weapon was, but say the suspect hit the business’s counter with it and didn’t say a thing. The man then left the businesses, broke two windows on the building and fled the area.

The suspect is described as a thin man, about six feet tall, who was wearing a black hooded sweater, dark pants, black glasses and had camouflage covering his mouth and face.

At 5:36 a.m., police were called to the 2100 block of Albert Street where two men had robbed a business. Two suspects were involved in the robbery; one had a weapon and the other had a black duffle bag. The pair made off with cash and cigarettes.

The suspects are described as being five foot eight to five foot 11. The first man was wearing blue jeans, a black sweater, a red T-shirt, and had a neck scarf over his face. The other man was wearing black clothing and also had his face partially covered.

Then at 9:39 a.m., police were called to the 800 block of Victoria Avenue East where a man wearing construction clothing had robbed a business. Police say the man had a weapon but again haven’t said what the weapon was. He was able to get some cash from the business, and was last seen running north on Rothwell Street. He’s described as being about five foot nine, and was wearing a hard hat, a reflective construction vest, black pants, a black hoodie, and had his face covered with a scarf.

Police haven’t said if there is any connection between the three robberies.
