The 2025 Montana's Brier will take place from Feb. 38 to March 9, and Sask. last won in 1980.
The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation decided to take away her teaching certificate for six months, but a former Wolsley principal has launched an appeal.
Last month, Kimberley Sautner was found guilty of professional misconduct. She was accused of changing students grades, including her daughter’s, and trying to bribe other teachers to change her daughter’s grades.
Sautner’s lawyer argued that she should just get a written reprimand, or at most a two-week suspension. However, in line with their original recommendation, the federation decided on a six-month suspension of Sautner’s teaching certificate.
Sautner, who is now working as a principal in Alberta, has launched an appeal of that decision.
