A collision in Saskatoon’s west side Thursday evening has been deemed fatal, but not as a result of the crash.
Officers were on 20th Street and Avenue P South for several hours investigating a three-vehicle collision that happened around 7 p.m.
Police have determined the crash was caused by a medical condition experienced by one of the drivers.
A 33-year-old Saskatoon man died as a result of the condition.
Police said the collision happened when a vehicle heading south on Avenue P didn’t stop at a red light on 20th Street, hitting two vehicles heading east through the intersection.
One of the other drivers, a 62-year-old Saskatoon man, was taken to hospital in an ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is complete and no charges will be laid.
