A serious crash southeast of Regina Saturday morning left one man dead and shut down highway 33 for several hours.
RCMP said a semi collided with a car near Lajord around 9:30 a.m. STARS Air Ambulance was dispatched to the Lajord area around that time. The driver of the car was killed – and was the only person in the car – while the semi driver was treated on scene for minor injuries.
Both lanes of the highway weren’t open until later on Saturday night.
Police said the deceased man’s name, age, and home community have not yet been released, as his next-of-kin have not yet been notified.
