Regina police have charged two people with attempted murder after a 14-year-old boy was assaulted last week.
The police service was called to a home on the 1100 block of Cameron Street on Wednesday around 1 p.m. Officers found the boy in serious condition – the victim of a serious, “sustained” physical assault.
The boy was taken to hospital. As of Monday, he was still in hospital.
Two suspects were identified in the investigation.
Twenty-seven-year-old Joshua Brendan Bird was arrested on Saturday and charged with attempted murder.
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested on Sunday and also charged with attempted murder.
Both of the accused made their first court appearances on Monday.
