Saskatoon police are investigating after an armed robbery at a convenience store turned violent.
Around 11:50 Tuesday morning, staff at a store in the 2800 block of Estey Drive reported an unknown man entered and hit at least one employee with a metal rod.
Police said it’s unknown at this time how serious the injuries were to the employee, or if others were injured.
The suspect fled on foot with cash and lottery tickets.
The man is described by police as six feet tall, wearing all black with a red bandanna and grey toque.
