Lines of yellow police tape stretched across the front of two houses and into the street in north Regina on Sunday and Monday. Several police vehicles were parked in front and nearby, people walked and drove past, slowing down and peering around, trying to see what was going on.
There had been a murder. According to the police, officers were called out to a home on Upland Drive, across from Carson Road, around 4:30 on Sunday morning, to do a welfare check on the people who lived there.
Instead, officers found the body of a 38-year-old woman. Police are treating her death as a homicide.
As of Monday morning, no other information about the woman or what happened to her was being released.
This is Regina’s fourth homicide of 2016.
