Two people have been charged after an investigation by a joint RCMP and Saskatoon police drug unit.
Police reported that they stopped a vehicle on Wednesday around 27th Street and Avenue L North. At that time, a man and a woman were taken into custody. The woman was later released without charges.
However, the arrest of the man led officers to an apartment on the 200 block of Heath Avenue. Police searched the home shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday night.
Police said they found over $70,000, which is believed to be the proceeds of some 2,000 drug deals. They also reported finding just over 30 grams of cocaine.
Two men, 31 and 36, are charged with drug possession and trafficking offences, as well as breaches of previous court orders and possession of proceeds of crime over $5000.
