Cameco Touchdown for Dreams is making another wish come true for a woman battling life-threatening cancer.
Holly Wilton was announced Tuesday as the program’s first recipient, which will grant seven dreams this year.
The 46-year-old mother of three will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the Maritimes where she will tour the East Coast on a Harley Davidson with her husband, a long-time dream for the Stoughton, Sask. couple.
“It’s going to be wonderful,” said Wilton, who was floored when she learned her application was selected.
“It will be just a stress relief; get away and just enjoy your ride and see different country.”

It was welcome news for the couple that have had more than their share of bad news this year.
After five surgeries and dozens of radiation and chemo treatments, Wilton was diagnosed with liver cancer in January – her third cancer scare since 2008.
Around the same time, her husband John was also diagnosed with cancer.
“It hasn’t been easy. I’ll admit that,” said Wilton, adding they’re both looking forward to having some fun and forgetting about their troubles.
Jonathan Huntington with Cameco said Holly is a worthy candidate for the program, which is entering its fifth year of granting dreams for women with cancer.
“She’s an unbelievable lady. Someone to go through cancer three times in a short period of time to have the attitude, strength and courage she has; just an absolutely tremendous person,” she said.
Huntington said with so many worthy women, choosing seven from a short list of 16 was very difficult.
The Wilton’s will leave on their 10-day trip in August.
“We have places kind of picked out to go to, but kind of tour around and have some fun,” Wilton said.
The partnership between Cameco and the Saskatchewan Roughriders has granted 26 wishes during its first four years.
